Super Friends: 10 Of The Best Comic Book Teams Ever

Sometimes just one superhero isn't enough to save the day. Or, at least, sell lots of issues. On the one hand, it's often a financially-motivated exercise, but hey, that doesn't take away from the fact that us fans love crossovers.

There have been many ‘junior’ superhero teams over the years – Young Avengers, Runaways, New Mutants – but the best is by far DC’s Teen Titans.

Uniting the many sidekicks of the Justice League (Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl), as well as a few unique teen heroes (Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy), the Teen Titans initially didn’t make much of a splash when formed in 1964. However, a strong revival in the 1980s ensured that the team has remained one of the most prominent on DC’s roster ever since. These guys might be younger and less experienced than their Justice League counterparts, but their adventures are no less epic, smart or mature for it. The case in point being that the fan favourite Deathstroke began as the group’s arch-enemy.

Though Cyborg, one of the Titans’ breakout members, has been snatched up by the Justice League in recent years, the Teen Titans can’t be put down. As of the DC Rebirth initiative, their popularity is such that there are now two separate versions of the team running concurrently.
