Dead Island is really starting to impress as of late. First we got a peak at some in game footage and then we were given a gameplay tour trailer. Dead Island is really starting to impress as of late. First we got a peak at some in game footage and then we were given a gameplay tour trailer. Both of those videos were quite impressive, which lead to Dead Island jumping up on everyone’s most wanted list. Now we are given a full 20 minutes of gameplay footage, in HD none the less.

The footage starts out with a quick cut scene and then jumps right into the gameplay. From that point you get a full detailed tour of how the game plays out. From the free roaming to the zombie slaughtering, everything is included in the video. I love how the game has tons of variety when it comes to destroying a zombie, like cutting their limbs off to throwing a baseball at their head and I also love how free the game feels. You can decide to help someone out or you can just go around the island killing everything in your path.

The graphics look good and the game looks like it’s going to have a lot of replay value. Dead Island is being released on August 1st, 2011 and it will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Check out the 20 minute clip below thanks to CVG.

In addition to the footage, we also have new box art that can be seen above.
