26-year-old disappears into ‘dangerous’ national park, search teams find her car, but what’s nearby is chilling

Hikers don't come back from there.

A 26-year-old woman named Alleacya Boulia has gone missing near Olympic National Park. Her rented SUV was found empty at a popular trail three weeks ago. Boulia is from St. Louis, Missouri, and was reported missing on November 27, 2025.

According to The Sun, Boulia, who also uses the name Angel, was last seen shopping in Port Angeles, Washington, on November 17, 2025. Ten days passed before anyone reported her missing. Police found her rented 2025 Black Ford Bronco Sport at the Sol Duc Trailhead on November 30, 2025.

The location where her car was discovered is deeply concerning. The Sol Duc area is notorious for its rough, rugged terrain, which can quickly become treacherous for hikers and adventurers alike. The trail near the site leads directly to Sol Duc Falls, an imposing 50-foot waterfall located just a mile down the path.

The location has a deadly history that makes everyone nervous

Even experienced hikers can find themselves in danger here, as steep inclines, slippery rocks, and unpredictable weather make navigation challenging. Authorities have warned that getting lost or injured in this area can have serious, even fatal, consequences.

The waterfall near where Boulia’s car was found has already caused tragedy this year. An 18-year-old died in June after falling over the same waterfall. The trail had to close for a full week after that accident. Finding her vehicle at the start of this dangerous trail is extremely concerning for search teams.

Park rangers started searching the Sol Duc area right after they found the vehicle. They are using every tool they have to find her. Search teams are walking through the area, using trained search dogs, and flying drones over the thick forest. This case joins other troubling disappearances, including an elderly couple who vanished on Thanksgiving.

A special team has been brought in to search the difficult river area near the falls. The National Park Service is working with many local police and rescue groups. These include the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Port Townsend Police, and several search and rescue teams from nearby counties.

Boulia has dark, curly hair and a tattoo on her left arm. She is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 135 pounds. Anyone who was near the Sol Duc Trailhead or Port Angeles in mid-November should think about whether they saw her or her black SUV. Similar urgent cases include a pregnant woman who disappeared in Michigan recently.
