Bad Bunny is officially confirmed as the headliner for Super Bowl LX on Feb 8, 2026. This won’t be his first time at the event, having made an appearance as a guest during Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s co-headlining show back in 2020.
But, to the delight of his legions of fans, this time Bad Bunny will be the main event. It’ll also be an amazing moment for Puerto Rico, something he’s clearly immensely proud of. In a statement made through the NFL he said:
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
It’s safe to say not everyone is popping open the champagne. For dusty old MAGA conservatives, the Super Bowl halftime show is a perennial target for griping, though especially when the act is going to perform entirely in Spanish and has confirmed he’s not performing in the U.S. due to his fear of ICE raids.
And, to the horror of MAGA, Bad Bunny has also been pictured wearing… a dress!

Based on all that, the MAGAsphere has decided they’re going to do everything in their power to stop him and replace with, I dunno, Lee Greenwood and the USMC band or something. Weirdly it’s the dress thing that MAGA seems fixated on, which apparently makes him a “degenerate groomer”.

And good for Vance. Whatever he was experimenting with at the time, who he tried out some stuff with, and what he learned about himself are all his business. As Vance clearly knows, messing around with gender presentation can be fun and exciting, no matter if you actually have any inclinations towards actually being trans.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show will guarantee some ruffled feathers from dessicated boomer MAGAs, but they’d be unhappy with almost anyone to the left of Kid Rock on that stage. We say embrace the showy fabulousness and let Bad Bunny strut his stuff!
