After the success of Mad Decent Boat Party, the original Groove Cruise, and Holy Ship! imitations aplenty have sprouted up all around the world. Unfortunately, Australia’s first attempt at a boat party, Sea ‘N Beats, has now been cancelled.

Just six months after the event’s announcement, the festival’s organizers took to Facebook to break the news. The festival was scheduled to have Peking Duk, Alison Wonderland, Hayden James, and more of Australia’s finest on the lineup, but there’s always 2017 to look forward to.

It’s an unfortunate circumstance, however, we’re glad they’ve considered the importance of quality production and passenger safety.

Australia’s first cruise ship Festival, Sea ‘N Beats, announces with regret the cancellation of their March 5-8, 2016 event.

Whilst every possibility in the hope of proceeding with Australia’s first cruise ship festival has been looked at, ultimately all parties involved concluded that conducting a music festival at sea comes with challenges that could not be overcome.

We believe that the most appropriate decision was to not continue with the event. All ticket buyers have been individually contacted via email and a full refund offered.
