An NFL fan recently confronted car thieves rummaging through his vehicle at MGM Stadium in Las Vegas after the Raiders lost to the Detroit Lions.
Though physically outmatched, the Chevy Impala driver got into a fistfight with the thief before the robber’s accomplice joined in. Only then does the driver decide to run, but as footage shared on social media shows, “the little guy wins,” one comment said.
The outrageous clip starts with the driver face-to-face with the car thief. The argument lasts only a few seconds before the much taller auto burglar hits him with a right hook. The guy takes it on the chin and comes back for more, as a fistfight breaks out.
As one comment notes, “I’m just impressed dudes still get into a good [old-fashioned] fist fight and aren’t just immediately pulling handguns on each other. How nice for them to find each other.”
The getaway driver enters the ring
After the burglar and the driver go a few rounds swinging wildly at each other, the car thief’s accomplice — parked nearby in a Dodge Durango — joins in, and deciding he no longer has a shot, the Impala driver runs as the two guys chase him out of frame.
Despite the stakes, it looks almost comical. Or as another comment said, “This video RULES,” and a response added, “It gets better the longer you watch. Magical.”
Finally, with the owner chased off, the two car burglars go back to rifling through the Impala. But the driver’s not done. Undeterred, the smaller guy reappears, jumps into the driver’s seat of the apparent crooks’ Durango, which apparently still had the keys in the ignition.
A comment provided play-by-play, “Not all under sized dudes are built the same. He got sucker punched, double teamed, robbed and said, ‘How bout’ a demolition derby!’”
The impressive getaway
Once inside the Durango, the two apparent criminals rush to try to stop the guy from driving off in their car. Still, undeterred, the Impala driver backs it into his own car, pushes it several feet in the parking garage, crushing the hood. The clip ends as the car burglary victim speeds away in the Durango, leaving the two thieves unsure what to do next.
One comment put it perfectly, “Imagine seemingly getting the best of someone in a fist fight and then thinking you did something and decide to rummage their beater car with your boy since they ran away and then they hop in your much nicer car and drive off [into] the night. And you just left standing there like🧍♂️” Another added, “I’ve never seen such a bad fight end in such an amazing display. Absolute cinema.”
