As with the last two entries in the series, DICE and Electronic Arts will be rewarding early adopters who pre-order Battlefield 3, with a free upgrade to the limited edition version. It’s a thank you which comes with a pretty nice bonus: a code to download its Back to Karkand downloadable map pack. However, all of this is old news.
The relatively exciting news that was just recently announced are the retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses, which are planned for North America. European offers were previously released and those of us on this side of the pond have had to wait a little while longer to find out where we should spend our hard earned dollars.
Here’s a list of the known pre-order bonuses coming our way:
Gamestop:
GameStop’s pre-order includes the Physical Warfare pack. If you are part of their PowerUp Rewards, you’ll get a free Prima Battlefield 3 strategy guide as well.
Amazon:
If you pre-order on Amazon, you’ll receive an exclusive set of dog tags for multiplayer.
Best Buy:
Best Buy offers a set of new multiplayer skins — the SPECACT Kit. You’ll receive a code to unlock 8 new multiplayer skins when the game is released.
The only one that really piques my interest is the GameStop exclusive content. Although I really don’t think that any of the bonuses are anything special, it’s still nice to see that retailers are attempting to reward customers.
