As a kid, you may have looked at the laundry shoot in your building and thought: ‘Challenge accepted!’ Maybe you thought this would be a fun ride, a great way to experience an adventure or one of your many hidden talents. However, as adults, we can all agree it’s a terrible idea. Not everyone evaluates a situation with as much clarity as the rest of us, and the results of a woman trying to climb into a laundry shoot have been shared on TikTok. And, of course, it went horribly wrong!
TikToker mattybalders posted a video of a woman’s feet (sans shoes) hanging down from their roof while another woman holds back her giggles and tries to support the dangling damsel. Someone can be heard in the background saying, “Is she stuck? Oh, fantastic!” He is using sarcasm because there is nothing fantastic about the situation.
When the woman finally lets go of the stuck woman’s feet, she gives a little toe wiggle to confirm she’s doing alright, resulting in a room full of laughter. The TikToker captioned the post: “Its the toe wiggle for me #stuck #laudryshoot #donttrythisathome #adulting.” Never has a better hashtag been added to a post than “don’t try this at home!”
TikTok reacts to the woman stuck in the laundry shoot
The video has been getting a lot of attention and the comment section has over 3,500 comments from other people eager to share their thoughts. “She is INCREDIBLY calm for someone stuck in the laundry shoot. My claustrophobia would never have allowed me to even think about doing this. Straight panic,” a comment reads. “She let her impulsive thoughts win. We’ve all been there,” another added.
Other reactions include “How do u resist tickling her feet though,” “I need to know if the fire brigade were called,” and “You know you are done when someone snort laughs.”
Despite seeing this woman get stuck, some people’s toxic trait is they still believe they could slide down their building’s laundry shoot! “If I had a laundry shoot, even now as an adult, would happily slide down the laundry shoot,” a comment reads. Shockingly, it’s been liked over 6,000 times.
The only thing missing is the rescue video, but creator mattybalders informed those invested in the story that there is no follow-up (although we assume she’s not still hanging there). We get it; laundry is no fun, but next time, throw the clothes in there instead of yourself!
