The Chainsmokers have announced that they’ll be releasing their first single of 2017 tomorrow. Taking to social media with the good news, the duo shared a new clip of the incoming song “Paris,” which we’ve heard bits and pieces of with various teasers in recent memory.
The new clip serves as our first high quality preview of the forthcoming single, offering up a twenty second long sample of the tune. The video kicks off with an electric piano chord progression, before the familiar timbres of Andrew Taggart’s voice enter the mix with some catchy hooks.
After a massively successful 2016 that saw The Chainsmokers dominating with their Halsey collaboration “Closer,” we can’t wait to see what the boys have in store for 2017. While the samples we’ve heard of “Paris” so far have been brief, all signs point towards another strong effort for the duo. With the release on Friday, we’ll also finally be able to lay to rest the speculation over who the female voice in the track is.
