A Contemplative Screenshot From The Amazing Spider-Man

It's obvious that Spider-Man doesn't have a case of vertigo or a fear of heights. After all, the web-shooting superhero spends a lot of time in the air or on the top of skyscrapers. So, it's fitting that Activision's debut screenshot for The Amazing Spider-Man shows Peter Parker perched far above New York City. Perhaps he's taking a break, worrying about Mary Jane or putting a plan together. Who knows.

It’s obvious that Spider-Man doesn’t have a case of vertigo or a fear of heights. After all, the web-shooting superhero spends a lot of time in the air or on the top of skyscrapers. So, it’s fitting that Activision‘s debut screenshot for The Amazing Spider-Man shows Peter Parker perched far above New York City. Perhaps he’s taking a break, worrying about Mary Jane or putting a plan together. Who knows.

Those who are eagerly anticipating the film and its interactive companion may be a bit disappointed by the fact that there’s only one image, which doesn’t tell us much at all. However, there are still several months to go before this red and blue spider swings through his hometown on July 3. I’m sure we’ll see plenty of screenshots before then. For now, you can admire the detail in his suit, and the stylized highrise horizon.

Or, if you’d like to, check out the game’s 2011 Spike Video Game Awards trailer, as it happens to have a lot more to tell. From the looks of things, there will be a battle between a human spider hybrid and some robotic evildoers.

Are you as excited as we are?
