Although the Big Two may certainly dominate the pull boxes of many, it’s important that we not forget about the various other smaller publishers out there, namely Rothic Comics. Needless to say, fans of that imprint will have much to look forward to when a reissued edition of Ancient Dreams #1 joins Southern Nightgown #5 in comic shops this April.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that one of today’s most talented up and coming artists, Dawn McTeigue, is set to provide cover art for both books. Having recently drawn some interiors for Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #5 and a retailer exclusive variant cover for Justice League vs. Suicide Squad #1, it’s undeniable that McTeigue’s star is certainly on the rise, so it’s cool to see her continue working with Rothic, whom she’s no stranger to.
If you’re unfamiliar with what Rothic has to offer, I’d have to say that their line is worth checking out if you’re a fan of stuff put forth by the likes of Vertigo and Zenescope, or if you just love the fantasy genre in general. Okay, the Vertigo reference may have been a little broad, but they have been known to dabble in this arena.
Without further ado, here’s the solicitation for the Ancient Dreams #1 reissue:

The twelve realms of the Elvonds, the gods of time, doors through dimensions, dynasties and goddesses, hidden enchantments stitched into gowns and hidden deep in the earth, are all just part of this amazing world of mythology and mysticism, as told by JP Roth. Under the blushed light of blood red moon the sisters called to the remaining powers of the Elvonds and beseeched a creature with incomparable strength to be the guardian of their artifact. He heard their call and acquiesced until a time when they would awake in human flesh and come to claim their treasure… don the gowns and save their wounded worlds!
