Donald Trump’s response to Iran’s new supreme leader’s major strike on US allies? A social media rant

Epic fury!

President Donald Trump posted a profanity-filled threat on social media just hours after Irans new supreme leader carried out his first major strike on US allies in the Gulf states and Israel. Iran launched multiple attacks, including dozens of drones aimed at Saudi Arabia. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard also claimed responsibility for attacking a vessel off the coast of Iraq and released video that reportedly shows the moment it was hit.

According to NBC 5 Dallas Fort Worth News, in his post, Trump declared, “Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today.” He went on to say, “Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth.”

Trump also stated that “we are totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise,” and added, “They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!”

Iran’s new supreme leader is making bold moves and the region is paying a heavy price

Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, had previously vowed to “not refrain from avenging the blood” of Iranians killed. In his first public address since taking over from his father, he warned Gulf Arab nations to shut down US bases.

He called American protection “nothing more than a lie,” and reaffirmed Iran’s intent to continue blocking the Strait of Hormuz. Many analysts have pointed to how early miscalculations shaped the conflict’s cost for both sides.

Early Friday saw intense airstrikes around Tehran, though specific targets were not immediately clear. In Saudi Arabia, authorities reported shooting down nearly 50 drones sent in multiple waves. Bahrain also experienced incoming fire warnings, with black smoke rising from an industrial area after debris from an interception started a fire.

In northern Israel, nearly 60 people were injured, mostly with minor wounds, after Hezbollah fired several rocket salvoes. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported one person killed in southwestern Beirut from an Israeli strike. More than 600 people have been killed in Lebanon since the fighting began, and nearly 800,000 have been internally displaced, according to the UN refugee agency.

In Iraq, a French soldier was killed in an attack on Irbil, where French troops are part of a multinational counterterrorism mission. Several US personnel also suffered minor injuries when drone strikes hit a base housing both British and American troops in Irbil. An American KC-135 refueling plane also crashed in western Iraq with five crew members on board, though US Central Command said it was not due to friendly or hostile fire.

This is the fourth publicly acknowledged US aircraft crash in operations against Iran, after three American fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti friendly fire last week. As the conflict drags on, Trump has also signaled broader geopolitical ambitions, with reports detailing his stated intentions toward Cuba as another potential target.

The US military has confirmed striking over 6,000 targets since operations began, including more than 30 minelaying vessels. Iranian authorities have reported over 1,300 killed, Israel 12 deaths, and the US at least seven soldiers killed with eight others severely injured.
