With the recent confirmation that Michel Ancel’s team at Ubisoft is currently working on Rayman Legends, fans of his 2003 game, Beyond Good & Evil, may be concerned about the status of its often talked-about sequel. In a recent interview, Ancel confirmed that the project is alive and well, but due to the technological limitations of today’s consoles, it may have to wait a bit longer for release.

The developer said that work has been continuing on the game, but better technology than what is available on today’s consoles is needed to fully realize the team’s vision. He also dished out a small detail in saying that the game will have a dynamic camera system that gives the impression of the action being filmed live. This is apparently to reflect the protagonist’s status as a reporter.
