Hackers Selling Stolen PSN Data On Black Market

It's a bad time to be a gamer, well actually only a PS3 gamer. Sony's PSN saga continues to spiral down a seemingly never ending hole as today Destructoid tells us that the hackers are selling the personal data that they stole from the PSN. Apparently underground hacker black markets are eager to get their hands on the stolen data. Reports say that the hackers are auctioning off full names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, passwords, credit card numbers and expiry dates. Furthermore, apparently they also have security codes, which Sony has stated were not stolen. Hmmm.

It’s a bad time to be a gamer, well actually only a PS3 gamer. Scary stuff eh? It’s pretty baffling that a company as big as Sony can be hit this hard. It’s almost ridiculous in a way. I really don’t think Sony is being straight with us and I think there’s a lot more to the story. All I know is that they better take care of this quick. If I was a PSN user I’d be furious. Sony has a massive problem on their hands and I’m very curious to see how it’s all going to play out. When will it be resolved? Will they lose a good chunk of their members? And how will they make up for it all?
