Hunter Biden challenges Don Jr. and Eric Trump to a cage fight, but the man organizing it has a lot more surprises up his sleeve

Gloves off, literally.

Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, has publicly challenged Donald Trump‘s two eldest sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., to a cage fight. The challenge came through a video posted to the Instagram page of Andrew Callaghan, the independent reporter and social media personality behind the YouTube channel Channel 5.

In the video, Hunter Biden announced that he had been invited to join the final leg of Callaghan’s Channel 5 Carnival Tour, a live show that travels across cities and features crowd-sourced talent acts, rap battles, musicians, and what Callaghan describes as “forbidden” documentary screenings. According to The Independent, the tour is set to wrap up with stops in Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque between April 24 and 26.

It was during this announcement that Biden revealed the cage match plan. He said that Callaghan had called him and proposed organizing a fight between him and the Trump brothers. “I told him I’d do it, 100 percent in if he can pull it off. And if he can’t, I’m still coming,” Biden said, adding that he believes Callaghan “has a lot of other surprises up his sleeve,” though he gave no details on what those might be.

Hunter Biden’s cage fight challenge adds chaos to Channel 5 Carnival tour

The Channel 5 Carnival Tour is Andrew Callaghan’s live version of his popular online documentary work. Callaghan is known for embedding himself in unusual and often overlooked corners of American life, and his shows tend to bring together people from very different backgrounds.

The Carnival format takes that spirit on the road, mixing entertainment with unexpected moments. Adding Hunter Biden to the lineup, and possibly a cage match involving political figures, fits right into that unpredictable style.

As for the fight itself, no date or location has been confirmed. The Trump Organization had not responded to requests for comment as of the time of reporting, so it remains unclear whether Don Jr. or Eric Trump will accept the challenge. If they did agree, Hunter Biden would likely be at a disadvantage. He is 56 years old, while Don Jr. is 48 and Eric is 42.

None of the three men are known to have any formal combat sports training. This kind of political theatrics is not entirely new either. Trump’s own presidency has been marked by a series of dramatic moments that some, including author Stephen King, claim to have seen coming.

The challenge comes at a complicated time for Hunter Biden. A legal filing submitted on April 6 by his attorney Barry Coburn stated that Biden “lives abroad” and is unable to afford ongoing legal costs. In a podcast interview last year, Hunter Biden said he was carrying $17 million in debt, all tied to legal fees built up over years of federal investigations, criminal charges, and civil lawsuits, reports the Daily Express.

He was convicted in 2024 on federal gun charges and later pleaded guilty to tax-related charges, though he was pardoned by his father before leaving office. If the cage match does happen, it would take place ahead of another unusual fight night already on the calendar.

President Donald Trump has planned a UFC event on the White House lawn on June 14, 2026, as part of celebrations marking both the country’s 250th anniversary and his own 80th birthday. Trump’s White House has been busy on multiple fronts lately, and his administration’s handling of foreign policy, including claims of victory in Iran that his own Pentagon officials appear to be pushing back on, suggests there is no shortage of drama in Washington right now.
