If Icona Pop make you think of one thing, it’s dancing. The electro-pop duo have tunes that’ll make feet move all night long, and their new single, “Brightside,” isn’t any different. After releasing the song last month, the girls are now dropping a super fun music video to accompany it.
Much like most of their music videos, the visual to “Brightside” is nothing but a blast. Icona Pop take over an empty hotel, dancing their way in various parts of it in this party for two. That’s the cool thing about this clip – there’s nobody else in it except for members Caroline and Aino, and it makes for something pretty unique. Speaking with Vogue, Icona Pop say they styled it themselves and did the video with a very small team. Clearly, there’s beauty in simplicity.
“Brightside” may be Icona Pop’s newest single, but it isn’t exactly clear whether it’s set to be a part of a bigger collection. In the same interview with Vogue, they mentioned their struggles heading back into the studio and that it took a month before they were proud with something they’d written – so if a new album is imminent, they’re certainly keeping information on it under wraps. For now, we’ll enjoy the video to “Brightside” and keep the catchy track on repeat.
