Indiana teacher accused of forcing minors to wear ‘Scream’ masks to prey on them – facing forever in jail

In one of the most insane and disgusting stories we’ve seen in a hot minute, an Indiana teacher has been accused of forcing her teenage students – some as young as 13 – to wear Scream Ghostface masks while engaged in group sex with her.

Meet 32-year-old Brittany Fortinberry, a former teacher at Eminence High School near Indianapolis, who’s currently facing 47 charges, including 15 counts of child molestation and 14 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Her secrets came to light in August 2024 when the grandmother of one of the alleged victims discovered her grandson had been molested at the age of 15 and went to the cops. She told them the teacher had sent her grandson nude pictures and plied him with drugs, and produced text messages in which Fortinberry threatened suicide if the boy told anyone what had happened.

As the court documents detail: “[The boy] said that it was no different than a 30-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl. [The boy] said it was child molestation and he’s there because he doesn’t want her to molest more kids,”

But why the mask?!

Once the cops were involved, more and more students began to come forward to confirm similar stories of abuse. One of them detailed their disturbing experience, saying that his teacher had encouraged him to come to her house to “hang out”, during which they’d take drugs while she complimented his appearance and strength.

Then the touching would begin, culminating in sexual acts. In at least one instance, the victim was asked to stay over, sleeping in Fortinberry’s kids’ room while she slept next to her husband. But, in a truly bizarre twist that propels this case into genuine “what the actual…” territory, multiple accusers confirm that Fortinberry would produce a replica Ghostface mask during these depraved acts and force her victims to wear it.

If convicted, Fortinberry may spend the rest of her natural life behind bars. Her many level 1 felonies for child molestation each carry a potential sentence of 40 years behind bars. Even if she’s given a concurrent sentence, this means she won’t see the light of day again until she’s in her seventies. If a judge brings the book down and gives her a consecutive sentence, then she’d better get used to prison food, because if convicted, that’s all she’ll ever be eating from now on.
