‘Is there a douchier face than this?’: Hilarious ‘Bachelorette’ recap highlights the ridiculous men of Charity’s season

'The Bachelorette' TikTok is a place we love to be.

Charity Lawson is leading the charge in season 20 of the hit dating series, The Bachelorette, and her list of potential suitors is undoubtedly not what fans were hoping she’d find on her journey to finding love.

Lawson has a good head on her shoulders, but it doesn’t feel like many men are on the same level as her. In saying that, we could still say it’s all early days, and they’ve still got guards up, but many of them seem more focused on drama than actually getting to know their leading lady. A Bachelor Nation follower on TikTok, @wizardofha, is getting those same vibes, and in a hilarious video he shared last night, he shines a light on the…variety of suitors Charity has to choose from.

“One woman, fourteen men who want to get married but probably don’t have a bed frame, let’s go,” the video begins — and we should warn you — the next seven minutes of your life just might bring you more joy than the entire season has so far.

In fact, it’s solidified something for us, and also made us deeply question who we are as people. Well, perhaps I should say it’s made me question who I am as a person. Brayden might not be winning any awards for fan-favorite contestant this summer, but there’s got to be other people who have found themselves at least a little captivated by him, right?

Anyway, back to the video, Jared (@wizardofha) describes one contestant as “the puppet from Team America World Police crossed with Lord Farquaad” and another as “a bouncer who was just asked to come into the bar for backup.” Still, none get more intense treatment than Brayden himself.

Exploring what might have been going on in Brayden’s head as he was getting ready for his one-on-one with Charity, Jared gets very into character as the trendy earring-wearing romantic hopeful, and we couldn’t keep our composure.

“I got my reading glasses that don’t actually have a prescription to show I like to read, got my mom’s hoops in my ear because life is a circle. Got my my bird feather earring because I soar like an eagle. My dream catchers because Charity is about to live the dream. Got my headband to keep the hairs out of my eye, and then I got my big old scarf case gets a little cool, and then a big old fan because Brayden don’t like to be hot either.”

Oh, and he said that Brayden has a “douchey” face, and we’ll plead the fifth as to our feelings on that one.

Brayden does make some questionable choices, but there’s one thing we can all agree on — this season is entertaining, but we were hoping for something different for Charity. Of course, with guys like Dotun, Tanner, Xavier, and Joey — there’s still some hope that remains.

There’s a lot on the horizon for our bachelorette and her suitors, and next week looks to be extra dramatic, so we can’t wait to see what Jared will say about the men as they take us on another two hours of antics when The Bachelorette airs its next episode on Monday.

Until then, we can always look to Brayden’s earrings for a little bit of joy (we’re slightly into it, okay?)

You can see new episodes of The Bachelorette on Monday nights, with new videos from our new favorite TikToker releasing soon after.
