‘It doesn’t feel real’: Police release eerie footage in Ohio dentist double murder, and the mystery just got stranger

The police seems convinced

Police in Ohio have released surveillance footage showing a mysterious figure near the home where a dentist and his wife were shot dead. The video shows someone in a hooded jacket walking through an alley close to the crime scene. However, the family says this person might not be connected to the murders at all.

According to The NY Post, Spencer Tepe, a dentist, and his wife Monique were found dead in their home north of Columbus on December 30. Both had been shot, but police found no gun at the scene. There were also no signs that anyone broke into the house.

The couple’s two children and their pet dog were found safe and unharmed. Police believe the shootings happened between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., and they released the footage showing the hooded figure during that time window.

The family doesn’t think the footage means much

Rob Misleh, Spencer’s brother-in-law, is now taking care of the couple’s young children. He told said that the person in the video looks suspicious, but it could just be someone walking home drunk from a bar. He also said the couple had no known enemies and were loved by everyone who knew them.

“I do think, you know, (it’s a) suspicious-looking person there. It also very well could be … somebody walking home drunk from a bar,” Misleh told reporters. He described Spencer and Monique as people who were always smiling and laughing.

Misleh said the whole situation still doesn’t feel real, even a week after their deaths. The shock of what happened has left the family struggling to believe it’s true, much like other families dealing with unsolved double murder cases.

“They were always smiling, they were always laughing. So, it’s really just unbelievable and shocking to all of us when we found out. Still, a week later, it doesn’t, still doesn’t feel real. I can’t believe I’m, like, here talking about this,” he said.

Police have called the person in the footage a “person of interest” but have not named any suspects in the case. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are working to figure out who killed the couple and why.

The mystery surrounding the deaths has only gotten deeper as more details come out. With no forced entry, no weapon found, and the children and dog left unharmed, investigators are trying to piece together what happened that night. Similar double murder investigations have resulted in convictions, but this case remains unsolved.
