‘It won’t work this time’: Elon Musk reveals the ‘real reason’ Trump wants Epstein Files hidden — and it’s not what MAGA voters expected

Elon Musk isn't letting Trump just dump the Epstein files.

Elon Musk has started his argument with Donald Trump again. Musk strongly suggests that the real reason the Trump administration is trying to keep the “Epstein Files” hidden is because the President’s name is included among those involved.

This comes after a recent memo from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI stated that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide and that no “client list” exists, a claim that has caused a lot of anger even among Trump’s own supporters.

Musk posted multiple times questioning the official story and directly disagreeing with Trump’s claim that the Epstein case is a “hoax.” He pointed out the strange fact that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, is still in federal prison for sex trafficking if the whole thing was really fake. “Wow, amazing that Epstein ‘killed himself’ and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax,” Musk wrote.

According to Daily Beast, he also criticized the fact that none of Epstein’s supposed clients have been charged, saying, “Not a single Epstein client has been prosecuted. Not even one.”

Musk isn’t buying Trump’s Epstein stories

This latest outburst follows a public disagreement between Musk and Trump in early June, when Musk directly accused Trump of being named in the “Epstein files” and claimed this was “the real reason they have not been made public.” Although Musk later deleted that particular post, his recent comments repeat the same idea.

The tech billionaire also replied to a tweet criticizing Trump’s handling of the situation, especially his team’s failure to release the files as promised and then blaming Democrats. Musk responded with a sharp comment, referring to a common avoidance tactic: “The old: 1. Admit nothing 2. Deny everything 3. Make counterclaims. But it won’t work this time.”

The debate over the Epstein files has caused a major split among Trump’s supporters, with well-known figures like Alex Jones criticizing Trump for his position on the issue. Even though Trump has told his followers to “move on,” many conservatives still strongly demand transparency about Epstein’s alleged network. Attorney General Pam Bondi had previously said in February that an Epstein client list was “sitting on her desk,” but the administration now claims no such list exists, which has only made people more suspicious.
