Jimmy Kimmel mocks Trump’s proposed presidential retreat. Calls it ‘Fort Dumba’

Jimmy Kimmel had an idea for Trump's retreat.

Jimmy Kimmel had a few things to say about President Donald Trump’s plan for a new presidential retreat, as per The Mirror. During the October 7 episode of his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 58-year-old comedian asked why Trump needs another getaway when Camp David is already there. “We don’t need a presidential retreat modeled after Camp David. We already have one of those. It’s called Camp David,” he said.

According to NBC News, Donald Trump wanted to make his West Palm Beach International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, a permanent presidential retreat could be turned into a presidential retreat. The plan would allow foreign leaders and future presidents to stay there, with complimentary club memberships.

Kimmel, who has been outspoken against the Trump government, joked that everything must be going perfectly in the country if Trump has time for another construction project, “Uh things are going great. Everything’s real good, no problems domestically, all quiet overseas.” He then mocked the president by calling him “Blob the Builder.”

Kimmel had an interesting new name for it

In the video, he also wondered if a name had been selected for the new retreat. He then moved on to suggest a few options of his own. First, he thought of “Camp Donald,” but he hinted there was something else that would fit more perfectly. He added, “I would go with Fort Dumba,” before joking that the name could be changed to “Fort Dumas” by leaving out the B. The show has been pulled off air for accusing the Republicans before.

In a letter to The Palm Beach Post, Harvey Oyer, the president’s lawyer, mentioned that the golf club will cover the cost of the construction of this new lodge. However, the comedian said he was not convinced, noting that Trump had made a similar promise about the ballroom.

He then shifted the focus to other construction projects. “What is with all of these projects? Not one of them’s finished, but the east wing’s still a hole in the ground. The reflecting pool is empty. The Kennedy Center closed. The arch is like a rectangle with construction tape around it.”

Kimmel’s bigger complaint was that Trump should focus on finishing other projects that are still under construction before he moves on to the other ones. “How about you finish one of the other stupid projects nobody needed first?” he questioned.
