Cédric Steinmyller is just a normal guy. But he’s also the mind behind Klingande, one of the biggest names in dance music. His tropically tinged house is famous for having vibrant saxophone leads, and the trademark sound has earned him the opportunity to travel the world and live the dream.
In a new short film, MTV caught up with the Frenchman to learn more about his meteoric rise to the top, and what it’s like to be one of dance music’s most sought after producers. Steinmyller claims to be a perfectionist, and was somewhat reluctant to release “Jubel” in 2013; he had no idea the impact it would have, thinking the track needed more work.
After uploading his creation to YouTube, reality kicked in and his team realized what they had stumbled upon. Fast forward three years later, and Klingande tours the world with saxophonist Arnold Pol, treating fans to an unparalleled atmosphere with energetic performances.
