Good news, Kygo fans! Billboard has announced today that the Norwegian producer will be replacing Avicii at TomorrowWorld 2014. The Swedish DJ recently cancelled all of his upcoming shows due to health concerns, leaving a pretty huge gap in the schedule of ID&T’s upcoming festival.

Thankfully, Kygo has stepped up to fill the coveted spot, replacing the Swede on the mainstage on Friday, September 26th from 6:15 – 7:15. While nowhere near as big a name as Avicii, Kygo is still an excellent choice for a replacement. He’s definitely on the rise and is quite literally on the cusp of really breaking out.

Already working on tracks with several of EDM’s heaviest hitters (Dillon Francis, to name just one), Kygo is an up and coming musician with a boatload of talent and playing the mainstage at a festival like TomorrowWorld will no doubt give him the exposure he deserves. Now, that’s not to say that he’s a complete unknown. Far from it in fact. He’s just not a mainstream name quite yet, though he definitely should be. I know I’m a fan, and seeing as I’ll be attending TomorrowWorld, this news makes me very, very happy.

Tell us, what do you think of this announcement? Are you upset that Avicii won’t be there? Is Kygo a suitable replacement? Sound off below!
