Laurence Fishburne Leaves CSI

Deadline is reporting that actor Laurence Fishburne has left CSI. Fishburne, who plays Dr. Raymond Langston, was on the show for about two seasons and has decided not to renew his contract for next year. Last May he only renewed it for one season, which is why he is able to leave this year.

Deadline is reporting that actor Laurence Fishburne has left CSI. Fishburne, who plays Dr. Raymond Langston, was on the show for about two and a half seasons and has decided not to renew his contract for next year. Last May he only renewed it for one season, which is why he is able to leave this year. Right now it isn’t known if he’ll make an appearance in the Fall to wrap up his storyline

“Nobody expected him to be on the show for 7 years, it’s Laurence Fishburne,” one insider said.

With Fishburne gone, the producers now have a gap to fill, any ideas for who would make for a good replacement?

Laurence Fishburne is a great actor and he was a solid addition to the show. I really enjoyed his character and I’m sad to see him go. Hopefully they’ll find a worthy replacement. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more.
