A Los Angeles woman recently shared her experience cutting a Hinge date short at a Santa Monica farmer’s market after just 15 minutes, because of an offensive question. TikTok creator Mia, who goes by @morelikemii, posted a video about the encounter, and it quickly got over 3.2 million views.

According to The Mary Sue, Mia explained in her TikTok video that the date was her match’s idea. They had agreed to meet at 11:00 AM, and Mia left an hour early to account for traffic, arriving right on time. Her date, however, texted her saying, “I’m gonna be 30 minutes late.”

When he finally showed up, the conversation did not get any better. They walked around the farmer’s market, and she described it as “super awkward.” She tried to keep things going by asking him how his day was, but his response was very minimal. “He’s like, ‘this,'” Mia recalled, indicating he had just woken up. She spent “five or 10 minutes of that,” feeling like she was getting “no personality” from him.

Things got worse when the conversation moved to Mia’s career. Mia then decided to end the date right there. She told him directly, “I’m actually not having fun, and I wanna leave,” and then added, “Hey, actually, I think this date needs to end. Bye.” She walked away and chose to spend the rest of her day alone. “I’m gonna go and get lunch by myself at Elefante,” she said.
