Man questions Longhorn server’s salary and refuses to tip 20%, but what she says next makes him absolutely furious

Servers don't need rude customers' money.

A customer at Longhorn Steakhouse learned a tough lesson when he rudely questioned a server about how much she makes per hour. His questions caught everyone by surprise and led to a response that infuriated him.

According to Bro Bible, TikToker and Longhorn server Wiz (@wiisssdddoom_) shared the story in a video that got over 774,000 views. Wiz explained that after she put the bill down for a customer, he immediately started asking her aggressive questions about her income.

“It was time to set the bill down, and he was like, ‘Do y’all really only make $2.13 an hour?'” she said in her car after her shift ended. She then broke down in her TikTok video how the conversation went down, and what exactly made the customer lose it.

This customer clearly had no idea how server pay actually works

If you don’t know how server pay works, it makes sense why the customer might have been confused. The federal minimum wage is $7.25, but food service workers who get tips can legally be paid a lower base wage, like $2.13, because tips are expected to make up the difference.

The customer kept questioning her and allegedly asked, “‘So you don’t get a paycheck?'” Wiz explained that she doesn’t get a physical check because she keeps that small hourly pay entirely for taxes. This didn’t satisfy him, so he then asked her why she would even work there. “‘I mean, it’s good money,'” she replied.

That’s when the customer decided to brag about his own money. He told her he “would never work for less than…” and then mentioned his high salary. She stayed polite and simply told him, “‘Well, that’s good for you.'”

Even though he clearly tried to make her feel bad, the customer’s ego took a big hit when he decided to make a bold statement about tipping. He told the server he “refuses to tip 20%” because he felt that the tip “shouldn’t be coming out of [his] pockets.” It sounds like this guy was trying to skip tipping completely, which is just terrible. Some customers take their entitled behavior even further, like when an auto shop refused to return a vehicle in a shocking dispute.

However, Wiz had the perfect response ready. “I said, ‘It’s OK. I don’t need it,'” she remembered with a huge smile. “That made him so f***ing mad. I don’t even understand why. ‘Cause why are you trying to play in my face right now?'”

“He was trying to degrade and rage bait you and it didn’t work. He probably hates his life fr,” one person commented on the video. “i used to say “it’s ok, you probably need it more than me!” another person revealed.

It’s clear the customer was trying to upset her or shame her into accepting a tiny tip, but her casual response completely ruined his plan. This kind of ridiculous behavior from adults isn’t uncommon, as seen when grown men started fighting at a store opening over something completely absurd.
