Over the weekend, a number of sources in the EDM blogosphere began reporting news that Marshmello and Julian Jordan have an upcoming collaboration together after a supposed rip of the song surfaced on the internet. The ID, dubbed "Midnight Dancers" featured a classic Marshmello sound with his characteristic synth plucks and sugary future bass melodies.

However, our hopes of a collaboration between the two artists have been dashed, as the masked DJ has taken to Twitter this morning to debunk the rumors. In his Tweet, Marshmello explicitly states that he hasn’t been hitting the studio with the Dutch producer.

While the news may come as a disappointment to some fans, there’s still plenty of good things on the horizon for the Mellogang to look forward to.
