With Max Payne 3, the team at Rockstar Studios took the series’ iconic bullet time mechanic further, which is detailed in their latest Design and Technology developer diary. By watching it, you will find out about the improvements made to overall character control, as well as how the power’s meter fills based on factors such as risks taken and gun-based accuracy. Adding onto that are other interesting pieces of information, detailing the unique animations players will see during the effect and user-controlled final kill cams.

Max Payne 3 will shoot up the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15. The PC version will follow on May 29.
