Microsoft Accidentally Reveals Mass Effect 3 From Ashes DLC

A slip-up by BioWare and Microsoft has led to a set of Mass Effect 3 DLC being unintentionally revealed.

You may remember reading that a GameStop location sold a Joystiq reader an Xbox LIVE download token for extra game content referred to as From Dust. Well, their system seems to have had the incorrect title listed. That’s because an Xbox LIVE Marketplace listing was recently discovered, under the title of From Ashes. It was described as being extra content for Mass Effect 3.

“Unearth lost secrets from the past and recruit the Prothean squad member,” is the exact description which was posted on the service.

It’s possible that the 800 Microsoft Point download is day one DLC that is included within retail copies of the RPG. After all, a similar tactic was used with Mass Effect 2. We’ll have to wait and see though.

The listing has since been removed, which surely means it wasn’t supposed to be added to the Marketplace this early.
