Miles Teller is the remedy for being on hold in Bud Light’s latest Super Bowl ad

Miles Teller stole the show with Bud Light's Super Bowl LVII commercial this year, and we're all dreaming of more TellerTok.

One of the most glorious things to come from 2022 was TellerTok, the side of TikTok devoted to the actor and thirst-trapper Miles Teller. His wife took to social media with videos of him dancing after the social media explosion thanks to that beach scene in Top Gun: Maverick. While Top Gun didn’t get a Super Bowl spot this year, as there’s no third movie in the works (yet, we hope), Teller did steal the show in a Bud Light commercial.

Bud Light featured a familiar yet frustrating experience we’ve all dealt with — being on hold for an important phone call. Of course, this goes far beyond a moment or two of waiting for a customer service agent, we’re talking about being on hold for hours. What is the remedy for this, which we can all agree feels like our own personal hell? A sip of Bud Light, of course.

Well, sort of — the real remedy feels like Teller’s hips hypnotizing us into not just tolerating but enjoying the dreaded hold music we’ve all heard too often in our lives.

What was it like filming, easily, one of our favorite commercials in Super Bowl history? Teller says the appeal was getting to work on the ad with his wife, Keleigh Sperry. Bud Light wanted to highlight a real relationship for their ad spot this year, and as Teller and Sperry were married in 2019, they fit the bill. It goes without saying that all of that TellerTok content certainly impacted their decision, too.

Teller’s statement to The Hollywood Reporter explains that they’re usually a pretty private couple, but they couldn’t pass this one up.

“They said it was really important for them to show a real relationship, and Keleigh and I are very happily married. Keleigh and I are pretty private people, but this is kind of a bucket-list thing. It was a no-brainer.”

For Sperry, the real treat was seeing the man she loves in action, whether for a 30-second Super Bowl advertisement or a film role; Teller gives his all to whatever is on his plate.

“I’m not in my comfort zone being on screen, but watching him is like experiencing a master class. He’s able to shut off when he hears action and suddenly get completely in character. He’s already thought out every step he’s going to take in the next 30 seconds. It’s crazy.”

Here’s to Miles, Keleigh, Bud Light, and everyone’s favorite movie scene from 2022, thanks to the epic beach scene that showed us all that the more Teller wiggles his hips, the happier we are!
