Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Trailer Coming Next Week

According to The Film Stage, it shouldn't be too long before we get the first trailer for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. The trailer for Brad Bird's upcoming film will run 2 minutes and 15 seconds and will play infront of Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, which makes perfect senese. Most people suspected that the trailer would play infront of either Transformers: Dark Of The Moon or Captain America: The First Avenger but at least we have some confirmation now.

According to The Film Stage, it shouldn’t be too long before we get the first trailer for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. The trailer for Brad Bird‘s upcoming film will run 2 minutes and 15 seconds and will play infront of Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, which makes perfect senese. Most people suspected that the trailer would play infront of either Transformers: Dark Of The Moon or Captain America: The First Avenger but at least we have some confirmation now.

The film will star Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner with a supporting cast that includes Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Vladimir Mashkov, Michael Nyqvist, Josh Holloway, Lea Seydoux, and Anil Kapoor. Looking at a December 16th release date, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is set to be one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.

Story details are still under wraps but we do know that a number of scenes were shot in IMAX, which should make for some exciting action, something that has always been a staple of the franchise. With Brad Bird behind the camera and Renner and Cruise in front, I don’t think there’s too much to be worried about here. The last film in the franchise may have been a bit of a letdown but I think Paramount has a winner on their hands with this one.

It will also be interesting to see how Renner does in a big action blockbuster considering that he’s not only set to take the reigns from Tom Cruise with the Mission Impossible franchise, but he’s also set to star in The Bourne Legacy, another big budget action blockbuster.
