As previously reported, Cannon, who reportedly makes $100 million yearly, has twelve children with six women, including his ex-wife Mariah Carey, former radio host Abby De La Rosa, models Brittany Bell, Bre Tiesi, and Alyssa Scott, and LaNisha Cole. The children’s ages range from 12 years old to six months old. During an interview with The Jason Lee Podcast in early May, the Wild ‘N’ Out star revealed that he isn’t concerned about his finances because “every dollar” he makes is for his family. Cannon said,

“I don’t care about that stuff. I believe true currency is your energy. I wish I could make a contract, ‘You cannot take this much of my energy when you leave. Money comes and goes. I always tell people, ‘Money don’t make you happy. Happy makes you money.’ So I’m always going to be good, and every dollar that I make is for my family.”

As the conversation shifted to how Cannon financially supports his 12 children, The Masked Singer host disclosed that he is currently “not in the child support system that is run by the government.” Further in the interview, Cannon would add that his children “can have whatever they want” and that the assets in his account will not run out:

“My money is they money, they money is my money. They can have whatever they want, whatever they ask for. My account is their account, and there’s a lot in there, so we ain’t gon’ run out.”

This isn’t the first time Cannon has opened up about his children. In 2021, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing star, who at the time was expecting his seventh child, revealed that all of his children were planned during his Power 106 Los Angeles radio show.  In the discussion, Cannon also shared that despite all the women he could have impregnated in recent years, the “ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant.”
