According to an Amazon listing, NBA 2K13 will feature some sort of Kinect support. Though, as expected, 2K Games refrained from commenting after Kotaku representatives queried them regarding this development. For that reason, this news is currently classified as a rumor.

The folks over at 360Sync broke this story after discovering a purple “Better With Kinect Sensor” banner on the cover image that Amazon used for its listing. At this moment, it stands as quality proof, and fits in alongside Need For Speed: Most Wanted, which is also rumoured to feature Kinect integration.

When you take a look at the aforementioned cover art, you’ll notice that Jay-Z’s name is featured underneath the NBA 2K13 logo. That’s because the chart-topping rapper is in charge of producing the game’s soundtrack.

North America will receive NBA 2K13 on October 2, while international markets will have to wait until October 5. Those dates apply to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and PC versions of the game, but a Wii U version is also in the works.
