During their set at Houston, Texas festival Day For Night over the weekend, ODESZA took the opportunity to debut three unreleased tracks for the unsuspecting crowd. The new material was captured on video and has now surfaced on YouTube, giving us our first taste of the upcoming songs.

In the three unreleased tracks, we can hear ODESZA’s signature sounds on full display, with drifting synth passages set against upbeat rhythms. The first song features a drawn out structure that gradually evolves over time, contrasting the more upbeat nature of the duo’s second new offering, which is more of an indie dance cut. The third and final preview features driving beats, twisting vocal samples and electrifying synth work.

It’s been a while since we got new material from ODESZA, so the prospect of fresh music looming on the horizon is enticing. That being said, without any indication from the duo themselves, we’re left in the dark as to when the songs will surface. The group had announced back in March that they’re hard at work on their third studio album, so we’ll be on the lookout for new ODESZA as we move into 2017.

For now, check out the new material below and stay tuned for any updates as they arrive.
