A man who bought a brand new 2025 Range Rover Autobiography says his expensive SUV keeps shutting off while he’s driving. DeAndre Brown posted a video on TikTok about his problems with the car, and more than 493,000 people have watched it. His Range Rover has less than 3,000 miles on it but has already left him stranded four different times.
Brown says the car has stopped working both on highways and regular city roads. When it happens, he has to either get it towed or barely make it to the dealer for help. He’s taken the car back to get fixed four times, but the problem keeps coming back because nobody can figure out what’s wrong with it.
Brown explained in his TikTok video that things have gotten really bad. “It’s now to the point where I literally do not even feel safe driving the vehicle,” he said. He keeps all his paperwork from the dealer visits to show how many times he’s tried to get the same issue fixed. Now he’s working with lawyers to try to get all his money back.

Brown isn’t the only person having trouble with the new Range Rover. The car review website Edmunds shows that owners give the 2025 model a score of 3.4 out of 5 stars from 16 different reviews. Many people complain about how well the car is built and whether it will keep working properly. Edmunds also says the car only gets 2 out of 5 for being reliable, which is pretty low. It ranks near the bottom when compared to other luxury SUVs in its class.
People who own Range Rovers have been talking about similar issues online. Some posts on Reddit mention problems with brakes wearing out too fast and other parts breaking on cars from 2023 and 2024. One person wrote that they were shocked by how many things went wrong with such a new and expensive car. Their list of problems included having to replace major parts when the car barely had any miles on it.
What might be causing the shutdowns is hard to say for sure. Car repair experts say Range Rovers are known for having electrical problems and issues with their air suspension systems. When a car suddenly stops while someone is driving it, there could be many reasons.
It might be the engine computer having a glitch, something wrong with the fuel system, electrical parts failing, or safety features turning off the car by mistake. Range Rovers have had issues before with their computer systems, sensors, and electronic parts not working right.
Owners should expect to spend more than $1,100 each year on repairs for a Range Rover. Right now there’s no official recall from the car company for this specific stalling problem on the 2025 model. Brown’s situation might qualify under lemon laws, which are state rules that help people who buy cars that can’t be fixed even after multiple repair attempts.
