Eurogamer is reporting that Ubisoft has delayed the PC version of Assassin’s Creed III from its original release date of October 31st to November 23, 2012.

The source for the report is an unnamed “publishing source” who backed up their claim with  some Assassin’s Creed III promotional material that clearly states “Out 31st October 2012, PC version out 23rd November 2012”.

When asked to comment on the report Ubisoft would only say that “The Windows PC release date is still to be announced”. For any extremely optimistic PC gamers out there, this means you can consider this report to be a nasty rumor.

As for the rest of us who live in the real world, it looks like Assassin’s Creed III will be joining the always increasing list of Ubisoft PC titles (Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Driver: San Francisco, and Call of Juarez: The Cartel to name a few) that were delayed well beyond the release date of their console counterparts.

As soon as Ubisoft makes this delay official we will let you know.
