Two new online retailer listings popped up yesterday which indicate that Ubisoft is developing both Assassin’s Creed III and Ghost Recon for the PlayStation Vita.

The Assassin’s Creed III listing comes from Zawi, and is currently still an active link that can be viewed here. Zawi lists the game as costing £29.95 with a release date of October 31, 2012, which matches up with the confirmed launch date of the console versions.

GAME UK posted the listing for Ghost Recon: Final Mission and notes the release date as being “TBC 2012”, with a price tag of £34.99. That listing has since been removed.

Ubisoft did reveal last year that they were working on a Assassin’s Creed title for the Vita, but has been silent on the game since last August. The company has never mentioned Ghost Recon: Final Mission but if the listing was correct it would seem as though Ubisoft has no plans to make a sequel to the game, because “Final Mission 2” just doesn’t make any logical sense.

While they are often correct, retail listings should never be taken as official confirmation of a game’s existence. With that said, don’t be surprised if these are two titles that Sony pulls out of their hat during the company’s E3 press conference on Monday.
