Right-wing influencer dragged down Minneapolis street by thief’s car after they snatched his $1,000 camera

Nick Sortor has called for the DHS to raid the state.

The growing unrest in Minneapolis is receiving coverage from both sides of the political spectrum. The chaos has seen many alt-right grifters try and take the opportunity to paint the left as violent radicalists, Nick Sortor is one of these people.

During his latest tour of the city, Sortor alleges that a protester snatched a pricey camera from him and made off in a car. Footage shows the right-wing influencer chasing after the thief and even holding onto the car as it speeds onto the sidewalk. Sortor is dragged alongside the car as it speeds away.

The shocking clip was shared to X by Sortor himself. “A group of Somali thugs just ROBBED me of my $1,000 camera,” he claims, going on to add, “They then DRAGGED ME DOWN THE STREET as my hand got trapped in their door handle.”

The clip starts from inside the car, what appears to be a woman can be seen grabbing the camera out of Sortor’s hand through the open car window. He then exits the car to give chase as the woman gets in her vehicle. When asked what happened Nick replies, “They just stole my camera.” As he walks down the street angry residents continue to yell at him and berate him. He finishes his tirade on X by declaring that “DHS MUST RAID THIS PLACE.”

He claimed that the woman came from a “group of Somali thugs” that had been following him all day.

Nick Sortor vows not to be forced out of an American state

This isn’t Sortor’s first experience with the people of Minneapolis. Last week protesters attacked his car after he swung at a woman who was trying to block him from recording. Residents have made it clear that he is not welcome there but he’s vowed to stay in the state. Responding to one comment on X he stated, “I’m going to need some folks this week for sure… I’ve extended my stay. I will NOT be forced out of an American state.”

Other right wing grifters have employed similar provocative tactics to try and record a violent reaction and oftentimes they get what they came for. While violence and thievery are not to be encouraged, these are the same people who will defend the violence committed by the right on January 6th.

Authorities are currently on the lookout for the alleged thief with the FBI’s Rapid Response X account reposting the clip with the caption, “we’re on it.” As for Sortor, he doesn’t really care about losing the expensive camera as he’s said as much with his own words: “I’ll GLADLY burn that $1,000 just to put that b—h on a boat back to Somali.”
