Looks like Venom isn’t the only 2018 tentpole about to be paraded in front of the masses.
According to a new report from Star Wars Legacy (via Screen Rant), Lucasfilm has slated the first-look teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story for January 12th, when it’ll seemingly premiere on Good Morning America. Chalk this up as mere conjecture for now, as neither Lucasfilm nor Disney has released anything official. Still, GMA has been used as something of a trailer launchpad for Star Wars numerous times before – Rogue One, for instance – so don’t write off this rumor just yet.
Besides, one could argue that a Solo trailer is long overdue. Not only is the anthology flick poised for a release in May – only five short months after The Last Jedi – but since the turn of the year, the Internet has been awash with story rumors and alleged reports pertaining to Ron Howard’s long-anticipated spinoff. And let’s face it, all of this buzz can’t be for nothing, right?
If true, it won’t be the only Disney-related property to receive a big showcase this week, as the new and likely final trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther is expected to air during tonight’s College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN. Chances are it’ll drop around 8pm EST, so keep your peepers peeled on WGTC for more.
However, circling back to that famous galaxy far, far away, and here’s the latest piece of intel relating to Solo: A Star Wars Story:

As we alluded to before, this is very much a rumor, so it’s best treating this report from Star Wars Legacy with a heightened sense of caution. Either way, surely it can’t be too much longer before Disney lifts the curtain on Solo: A Star Wars Story, right? May 25th is the date for your diaries.
