Someone just stole Beyonce’s secret files and the industry will never be the same

Important tour materials stolen.

A car break-in during Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour in Atlanta resulted in the theft of important tour materials and personal belongings from her choreographer and dancer’s vehicle. The incident happened on Tuesday, July 8, when thieves targeted a Jeep Wagoneer parked in Atlanta’s Krog Street Market garage.

Christopher Grant, Beyoncé’s choreographer, and Diandre Blue, a dancer, reported to police that they had parked their car at 8:09 p.m. When Grant returned to the vehicle about an hour later at 9:10 p.m., he discovered the trunk window was broken and two suitcases were missing.

According to People, among the stolen items were hard drives containing ‘watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set lists’ related to her groundbreaking Cowboy Carter album.” The thieves also took clothing, designer sunglasses, laptops, and AirPods Max headphones from the vehicle.

Police track stolen items and identify the suspect in the Atlanta theft case

Police officers attempted to locate the stolen items by tracking one of the laptops and headphones. They conducted suspicious stops in the area where the AirPods were sending signals, noting several cars in the vicinity matched the tracking movement.

The Atlanta Police Department (APD) has made progress in the investigation. As of Monday, July 14, investigators from the Larceny from Auto Unit have secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, though the identity has not been released to the public. The investigation remains ongoing, with police noting that preliminary information could change as new details emerge.

Beyoncé and her team continue their scheduled performances in Atlanta at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for multiple nights, despite recent technical difficulties during the tour. The final show in Atlanta is set for Monday, with the Cowboy Carter tour concluding in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 26.

In response to the incident, the Atlanta Police Department has urged citizens to participate in their Clean Car Campaign, warning that quick stops can lead to costly mistakes. They advise removing all valuables from vehicles, as thieves can spot and steal items within seconds.
