Sony Sues Hacker George Hotz For PS3 Jailbreak

We reported just over a week ago that hacker George 'Geohot' Hotz jailbroke the PS3 allowing the system to run unsigned code and making pirated games a very real possibility. Sony launched a legal assault on the hackers, primarily Geohot and fail0verflow.

We reported just over a week ago that hacker George ‘Geohot’ Hotz jailbroke the PS3 allowing the system to run unsigned code and making pirated games a very real possibility. Sony launched a legal assault on the hackers, primarily Geohot and fail0verflow, who produced the jailbreak. One document consists of over 280 pages of “evidence” against the hackers, containing full, copy-and-pasted pages from Twitter accounts, forum posts, and news stories relating to the recent discoveries of the PS3’s private and root keys.

Geohot made an appearance on G4’s Attack of the Show to discuss his current situation with Sony. Apparently, he got sued for “making Sony mad”. Check out the interview below.
