Japanese entertainment company Toho has just dropped the trailer to the newest Godzilla film — Godzilla: Minus One — and the internet is going wild for it.
The studio, headquartered in Tokyo, has the rights to the famous monster in its home country, having created and since put the lizard-like creature in over 30 films. They only recently announced plans for a new movie, so the trailer has come as a bit of a shock to many — but also a delight.
Godzilla: Minus One is set in post-war Japan, and shows the monster returning just as the country is at its weakest (hence the “minus one.”). The film is due to be released in Japan on November 23 and America just over a week later, on December 1.
