TikToker refuses to park next to certain cars in parking lots. Drivers aren’t happy about it

Dude really thinks his car is too good for yours.

A car guy on TikTok has started a big argument online about parking. Jay, who uses the name @turbochargejay, posted a video on October 21, 2025, where he talked about his parking rules. He said he will not park next to old or beat-up cars.

Jay only wants to park next to nice cars. He looks for new cars, sports cars, and fancy cars when he needs a parking spot. If he can tell someone takes good care of their car, he will park next to them. But if a car looks messy or damaged, he stays away.

Jay thinks parking next to bad cars will mess up his own car. “The people with them fd up a** cars that are parked next to your ass ding the f**k out of your door,” he said on his TikTok video. He also claimed, “Anytime somebody with a fd up car parked next to you, you come back and your sh*t gonna randomly have a ding in it or a scratch in it.” He believes people who do not care about their own cars will not care about his car either.

Not everyone thinks this is fair

Lots of people who love cars agreed with Jay. They said they do the same thing. One person wrote that they always check out the cars nearby before parking. They said people who let their own cars get damaged will not worry about hitting someone else’s car.

Some people posted pictures of their cars to ask Jay if he would park next to them. One TikTok user named @4o8.ak showed off a nice gold Honda that had been fixed up. They asked if their car was good enough. Jay said yes because the Honda was clean and well kept.

But people who drive older cars got mad about Jay’s rules. They said they will park wherever they want and do not care what he thinks. One person joked, “I have a Nissan Altima, and I’m parking wherever 😭.”

This argument about parking is not new. Lots of car owners try different ways to keep their cars safe. Some people park really far from the store so no one is near them. Other people look for spots at the end of a row. Many people try not to park next to cars with kid seats because parents have to open the doors really wide. State Farm says you can look at how long the doors are on the cars next to you before you pick a spot. They also say to stay away from shopping carts. But the truth is that most people will get door dings at some point. The fight over who should park where is still going strong online.
