Will Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Be Released In July?

If an Xbox LIVE Marketplace listing is to be believed, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will be launching a bit later than Mr. Hawk expected. The service briefly showed a July 11 release date for the great-looking high-definition revamp based on the series' first two titles, but the information was removed shortly after it went up.

UPDATE: Eurogamer has discovered that both Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD and Wreckateer will be released as part of this year’s XBLA Summer of Arcade promotion.

If an Xbox LIVE Marketplace listing is to be believed, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will be launching a bit later than Mr. Hawk expected. The service briefly showed a July 11 release date for the great-looking high-definition revamp based on the series’ first two titles, but the information was removed shortly after it went up.

Tony Hawk previously took to Twitter, where he speculated that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD would come out sometime this month, but it looks like that information may end up being incorrect. Granted, early July isn’t far off.

Also, if you’ve yet to hear, the game will include seven returning songs from both Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. That list includes No Cigar by Millencolin, You by Bad Religion and my personal favourite, Superman by Goldfinger. That song was on repeat during many of the hundreds of hours that I spent playing the N64 version of the series’ masterful debut.

Here’s the full soundtrack list:

Returning tracks (Song title– Artist):

  • Bring the Noise – Anthrax featuring Chuck D
  • Superman – Goldfinger
  • When Worlds Collide – Powerman 5000
  • Heavy Metal Winner – Consumed
  • May 16 – Lagwagon
  • No Cigar – Millencolin
  • You – Bad Religion

New tracks:

  • The Bomb – Pigeon John
  • We the People – Lateef the Truthspeaker
  • Marathon Mansion! – Pegasuses-XL
  • Teenage Blood – Apex Manor
  • Please Ask for Help – Telekinesis
  • Flyentology (Cassettes Won’t Listen Remix) – El-P featuring Trent Reznor
  • USA – Middle Class Rut
