Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron Announced, Features Dinobots

Transformers: War for Cybertron was a nice surprise last year. Transformers: War for Cybertron was a nice surprise last year. Many touted it as the “Arkham Asylum of the year,” implying that a licensed property such as Transformers turning into an original game that was actually good was a great thing. Gamers who wanted more now have confirmation that High Moon Studios is making a new Transformers game, and they’re bringing out the big guns robots.

The November cover of Game Informer features another beautiful panoramic cover art showing off an early taste of what’s to come with the new game, entitled Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.

The game is supposed to focus around the final moments of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons as their home planet falls into oblivion. This is right before the events of the old cartoon series.

Perhaps the biggest announcement the cover has to offer, both literally and metaphorically, is the inclusion of freaking Grimlock, the king of the Dinobots, and one of the most badass Transformers characters of all time. Second to Unicron of course, but you never know.

What say you, gamers? Anyone else excited to roll out again? War for Cybertron was one of my favorite games on 2010, so this announcement has me as giddy as a nerdy child again, although I’m still waiting for a Beast Wars game.
