Gamespot broke the news this morning in an exclusive gameplay trailer. Aside from showing off some very impressive looking footage set to at least three trailer soundtrack cliches, the end of the trailer reveals August 28 as the North American release date for the game, staying true to the Summer blockbuster tradition of the franchise.

Hey High Moon Studios, can you put out a Beast Wars game after this? Because I’m pretty sure I’d die of nostalgia then. Not that I’d complain.
