Mosh pits are a staple of Suicideboy concerts, including the duo’s Grey Day stop in Phoenix, Arizona. Two girls at the show said they ended up babysitting after another woman allegedly handed them her baby so she could join one. They claimed the mother vanished into the crowd until the concert ended, by which point they had gone to security, as reported by The Nerd Stash.
According to the girls, who shared their experience on TikTok, the mother arrived with two young children and a male companion. She reportedly had a baby, believed to be around 11 months old, strapped to her chest, while the other child was approximately two years old.
The girls claimed the woman was already intoxicated when she arrived and was getting into heated arguments with her companion and other concertgoers. They also recalled watching her jump around and climb onto a railing with the infant still strapped to her chest. According to their account, neither child appeared to have hearing protection.
The girls say she handed them her sleeping baby and walked off
When the performers encouraged the crowd to open a mosh pit, the girls said the woman took her sleeping baby out of the carrier and placed the child in one of their arms. She allegedly asked them to watch the infant while she joined in. The girls protested, but the woman reportedly disappeared into the crowd regardless.
Apparently, the companion was no help either. He reportedly vanished as well after saying he would look for her. The girls said they had no choice but to keep looking after the child, as neither adult came back.
As the concert neared its end, one of the girls and a couple standing nearby went to find security, and the baby was reportedly handed over to the authorities. Once the concert ended and the crowd started to leave, the mother finally reappeared. However, she began demanding that the girl who had stayed behind tell her where her baby was. The woman’s companion also returned, and all three then went to security.
According to the girls, the woman gave security a different account of what had happened when asked for statements. They alleged that she denied handing the child to them and instead claimed she had given the child to her companion. The woman reportedly became upset and started yelling, as authorities did not immediately hand over the infant.
Meanwhile, the woman’s companion did not stay to help her with the child. He allegedly left the area with the older child. The girls noted they were not entirely sure whether the man was the children’s father, as he had referred to them as “her kids” rather than “our kids.”
The girls said they were allowed to leave after providing their accounts of what happened. However, it is unclear whether police were involved or whether the mother could face any consequences.
