The Jeffrey Epstein rock has been lifted and all manner of insects are running for cover. These include many high-profile names you’ll have heard of, but also powerful people who generally keep a lower public profile
Case in point, Kathy Ruemmler, Goldman Sachs’ top lawyer, has suddenly resigned after the latest batch of Epstein emails released showed her engaged in some seriously creepy discussions with the modern era’s most notorious pedophile.
Among other things, these emails show that Epstein had sent her gifts, that she’s advised him on laundering his reputation, and that the pair were so close she compared him to an older brother.

Ruemmler, a former White House counsel to Barack Obama, said she “adores” her “Uncle Jeffrey”. After she left the White House and went into private practice, she received various expensive presents from him, including a $9,400 Hermès bag, a $4,200 Fendi fur-trimmed plaid wool coat, and a $1,700 Fendi leather shoulder bag.
Judge me by the company I keep!
The emails show the pair acting remarkably intimately, with Ruemmler responding to his emails with smiley faces as he bombarded her with offers for Broadway tickets and dinner.
So what was “Uncle Jeffrey” getting out of this deal? Well, she gave Epstein legal advice on minors and prostitution, underlining to Epstein that minors “could not legally consent to engaging in prostitution.” Good to know!

Since these emails came out, Goldman Sachs has reportedly been “uneasy” over its initial decision to back her, saying in December that she is “an excellent lawyer and the organization relies on her guidance every single day.” Brilliant bit of damage control there, guys.
Ruemmler has tried out the old chestnut that she “had no knowledge of any ongoing criminal conduct on his part, and I did not know him as the monster he has been revealed to be.”
Kathy. Babe. You were being best buds with Epstein in 2017, years after he’d pleaded guilty to procuring an underage girl for prostitution! And you were advising him on that very topic!
I mean, sure, we all love fancy designer bags, fur coats, and Broadway plays, but maybe befriending a man you knew full well was the Kobe Bryant of pedophiles wasn’t a particularly smart move!
