Vampires Will Return In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Thanks to a preview of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim shown on Ripten, we now know that the popular vampire race will be making an appearance. However, it is not known if the condition will return, or if werewolves will appear in the game world.

Thanks to a preview of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim shown on Ripten, we now know that the popular vampire race will be making an appearance. They were found living in a cave that otherwise seemed to only house the skeletal remains of fallen humanity. However, it is not known if the condition will return, or if werewolves will appear in the game world.

In addition to revealing the bloodsuckers, the preview also gives us an idea of how the game switches from its in-game view to a map of the area. This is done with a cool effect, which sees the camera rapidly pulling away from the lower landscape view. There’s also talk about how players can utilize their shield to push their foes off of high cliff ledges, making them to fall to their demise.

Those who are familiar with Jim Cummings and his work, will be happy to know that the veteran voice actor’s presence in the game is also mentioned during the preview piece. However, Bethesda has not officially confirmed his work in their massive open world RPG. If you’re not familiar with the man or his resume, you will most-likely recognize his voice from games like Mass Effect 2 and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim will be available for XBOX 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 11.
