‘What right do you have’: Hunter Biden unloads on George Clooney, ‘vultures’ who cost Democrats the election

The enemy from within may have cost the democrats that election.

In a blunt and sometimes heated interview released on Monday, Hunter Biden sharply criticized well-known Democrats and public figures, especially actor George Clooney. This was due to what he believes was their part in weakening his father’s 2024 presidential campaign and ultimately helping cause the Democratic Party’s election loss.

His comments, the second such statement in a week, show deep anger toward those he feels turned against his father’s years of hard work and service to the country. Hunter Biden’s frustration focused on George Clooney’s July 2024 opinion piece, which urged the older Biden to drop out of the race.

Hunter said in an interview with Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, “What right do you have to step on a man who’s given 52 years of his f—ing life to the service of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out, basically, a full-page ad in the f—ing New York Times to undermine the president.”

He challenged Clooney’s right to publicly go after a man who had spent 52 years in public service, suggesting the actor’s move was a deliberate public attack meant to hurt the then-president. His criticism also included others like CNN host Jake Tapper, the progressive podcast Pod Save America, political strategists David Axelrod and James Carville, and senior Biden aide Anita Dunn—all of whom Hunter Biden accused, directly or indirectly, of being disloyal or having a harmful influence.

The younger Biden shared his take on key moments of the 2024 campaign, especially his father’s health and the high-stakes debate against Donald Trump. He claimed that a bad case of COVID-19 in July 2024 left his father weakened, which led to what he called “vultures” in the party taking advantage of this moment of apparent vulnerability. He said photos of his father boarding and exiting a plane during that time were “devastating” and fed into stories about his fitness for office.

About the June 2024 debate with Donald Trump, seen by many as a major turning point, Hunter Biden said his father’s difficulties came from a grueling travel schedule and a sleeping pill he had taken. He explained that his father had been traveling nonstop around the world, leaving him exhausted, and that a sleep aid caused him to seem disoriented on stage. This, he argued, made the negative views of his father worse and played into existing doubts about his abilities.

Despite these issues, Hunter Biden firmly defended his father’s ability to lead, admitting that while his father might look older, his mind was still sharp enough for the presidency. He denied any “conspiracy” to hide his father’s supposed decline, instead saying it was just the natural aging process of someone always in the spotlight.
